DiscountMargin is a small independent project that offers free calculators for the maths people run into every day: percentages, discounts, price changes and profit margins.

What we aim for

• Accurate. Every result should match what you would get by hand.
• Clear. Each answer comes with a sentence explaining it, plus the formula and worked examples on the page.
• Fast and simple. No sign-up and no clutter.
• Private. Calculations happen in your browser, so the numbers you type are not sent to us.

How we check accuracy

Each calculator is checked against hand-worked examples, including awkward cases such as decimals, zero values and invalid entries. The worked examples on each page are checked against the calculators before they are published.

Limits

The calculators are tools for general information. They are not professional financial, tax, legal or accounting advice, and they do not know the details of your situation.
